What is Lavender Education?

Lavender Education is a creative education and publishing platform that supports writers, artists, historians, and anyone who wants to tap into the creative potential of each of these fields. We offer online courses, workshops, and mentorship that help you explore storytelling, creative research, public history, and much more.

Who is Lavender Education for?

Our programs are for anyone passionate about creativity — from emerging writers and artists to educators, community archivists, and lifelong learners who want to preserve and celebrate needed stories. We especially love working with beginners in any of these fields!

What kinds of courses and programs do you offer?

We offer a range of self-paced and instructor-led online courses, including:

• You Are A Writer! Build your confidence, define your voice, and get your work published with the guidance of this course designed by an author and expert writing coach

• How to Do Queer History A skill-building course where you'll learn how to uncover, document, and share queer history. With this self-paced learning experience featuring hundreds of resources, activities, and access to a growing community of peers, you’ll be ready to pursue your own history project.

How do I enroll in a course or workshop?

Enrollment is simple — visit our Store, select the program you’re interested in, and follow the checkout instructions. Once enrolled, you’ll receive an email with your course access details and materials. If you’ve enrolled in coaching, you’ll hear directly from Kimm Topping within 48 hours to get started.

Can I work with Lavender Education on a custom project?
