you are a writer!
“Writing is the art of truth-telling.”
It’s an act of courage and clarity. But it can also feel overwhelming when you’re navigating proposals, artist statements, and revisions on your own. All this gatekeeping can leave us feeling like we can’t claim the title of writer for ourselves. You can! Join our course, You Are A Writer!, and add coaching or editing services.
Commit to your creative practice now — and share your art with the world.
Build your confidence, define your voice, and get your work published with the guidance of this course designed by an author and expert writing coach. Plus - you'll have a free coaching session included.
Commit to your creative practice with five expert coaching sessions focused on building your confidence, defining your voice, and getting your work published. This option includes full access to the online course, five 30-minute sessions, and up to 30 pages of expert editing services.
For writers of nonfiction, memoir, and hybrid works: receive expert editing services on your book proposal or manuscript. Let's make your book project irresistible to publishers.

I’m Kimm, and I’m here to support you with all things writing. Most importantly, I believe that successful writing is grounded in self-trust, confidence, and understanding your unique, needed voice.
A bit about me:
Artist-educator and writer with over 10 years of experience
Founder of Lavender Education, where I educate, fund, and mentor writers, artists, and historians - especially those who are completely new to these fields!
I’m an author! My first book, Generation Queer, is a nonfiction YA highlighting the stories of LGBTQIA+ youth activists. Through over 50 oral history interviews, I created a meaningful story of youth activism today that’s written for both young adults, educators, and anyone interested in activism/history.
I’ve also researched and written Mapping Feminist Cambridge, a series of historic tours available for free through the Cambridge Women’s Commission.
Before I was a published author, I was a first-generation college student with a dream of publishing a book. I understand how daunting it can feel to commit time and energy to your writing practice, but through building consistent habits, confidence, and pursuing your passions — your art can positively impact the world.
I support writing clients with all of these skills, and I’m so proud to see the work they’ve gone on to refine, pitch, and publish, all while sustaining a meaningful creative practice that improves their lives.
