OPEN CALLS

We publish three print issues each year, alongside special issues, and feature a minimum of three artists per month in our online journal.

Our current open call: Digital — Submit by April 13th

FAQ

Who can submit to Floriography digital?
We welcome submissions from multidisciplinary artists working across visual and written forms. For this cycle, we’re especially interested in work that combines both. Visit our digital publication for past examples.

What kinds of work do you accept?
We accept poetry, essays, interviews, fiction, visual art, and photography. We welcome perspectives often underrepresented in mainstream publishing — LGBTQIA2S+, BIPOC, disabled, and immigrant artists. We’re particularly drawn to themes of love, memory, history, nature, identity, and personal growth. Submissions with explicit violence or violent imagery are generally not accepted. Submit your work here.

What are the deadlines and timeline?
Applications for the April–June digital publications are open until April 13th, or until 150 submissions are reached. Selected artists will be notified by April 21st.

What do selected artists receive?
Selected artists receive a $50 honorarium, social media promotion, and a discount to our shop. We feature a minimum of three artists per month.

Is there a submission fee?
There is a $10 reading fee to support our tiny press (managed by one person). You may include multiple works in a single submission PDF for consideration.

Will I receive feedback?
At this time, we’re not able to provide feedback. You will only hear from us if your work is accepted, but all submissions are saved for future consideration. We also encourage you to apply again for our next open call (every 3 months).
