Call for Writers

Call for Guest Writers: Share Stories of LGBTQ+ and Feminist Activism, Community, and History

We’re excited to open our blog to guest writers, and we’re looking for fresh, engaging voices to contribute to our collection of stories on LGBTQ+ and feminist activism, organizing, and community life. We invite short-form articles (500-700 words) that highlight local history, celebrate queer and feminist spaces, and showcase community groups or businesses with a focus on the Cambridge, Somerville, and Boston areas.

Possible topics could include the story of a historic queer coffee shop or bookstore, a profile on a local community group championing LGBTQ+ rights, a look back at pivotal protests advocating for gay liberation, or a guide to queer-owned businesses making an impact today. We’ll offer $25 for each accepted article, with a limited number of slots available each month beginning in December.

Submit your pitch by December 1st! Each pitch should be 1-2 paragraphs, describing what you’d like to write and how it aligns with our mission to uplift stories of LGBTQ+ and feminist resilience and advocacy. If we can’t include your article in the first month, we’ll keep your pitch on file for future openings. We look forward to reading your ideas!
