LESBIAN HERSTORY WALKING TOUR

  • The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender Community Center 208 West 13th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

Join us for a one-hour guided walk through the West Village, one of New York City's most iconic neighborhoods for queer and lesbian history. Starting at the LGBT Community Center, we'll trace a 0.5-mile route past the NYC AIDS Memorial, the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center, and the site of the legendary Duchess bar — stopping to share the stories of the lesbians, activists, and community builders who made this neighborhood a home and a movement. Every participant will leave with a historic booklet packed with additional sites and resources for their own continued exploration. All are welcome — whether you're a lifelong New Yorker or visiting for Lesbian Visibility Week, come walk with us and connect with the herstory of NYC.

This event is free, but tickets are limited and registration is required. Reserve your ticket here.
